Catwalk final templates/mood-board/storyboard....

This is my storyboard, I created my storyboards with images from Elle and Vogue magazine,  and some images of the internet. In my storyboard I have tried to show the different types of hair styles I looked into to help me come up with the idea for my shoot, I also looked into headpieces, I knew I wanted to create a look with feathers so I looked into headpieces that were made from feathers. I also looked into the make-up, there are images of the Rodarte look that I want to do on the arm and there are also make up looks from different catwalks which are similar to the Rodarte look there main focus was on the lips being really dark and the rest of the make-up was really plan. There are also images of the type of jewellery I was thinking to use, I want to use a necklace which is made up from beads with dull colours such as a orange/red blues/ purple I want the necklace to look a bit like a choker around the neck.

Here is a full length image of what I want my model to look like. The hair will be up with feathers and twigs coming out of it, there will also be feathers coming off the shoulders and the bright coloured Rodarte all over the arms. I want my model to wear a boob-tube top so there is nothing on her shoulders so the main focus will be on the Rodarte pattern. She will also be wearing a feathered skirt.

This is my face template for my catwalk look, I have stuck to the colour red which I was inspired by
from the Nicki Manaj video- Pound the alarm as they use a lot of red a bright colours in the video as accessorizes. I am going to use my Illamasqua lip liner and then fill the lips with my Red Mac lip-mix. I am going to contour the cheeks with the illamasqua Demon eye-shadow as this is a very bright and bold colour to use on the cheeks. I am also going to use this colour on the eyes and  make it pointed towards the corner of the eye. I am also going to make the eyebrows much bolder and darker so they stand out more. On the eye-lids I am also going to use precision glister ink eyeliner. 

This is my template for my models arm, I was inspired by the Rodarte catwalk 2010 to create this look. I am going to use a sponge and my white aqua palette to create a base coat. I will then use my Mac lip-mix colours to create the patterns on top. I am going to use masking tape to create the patterns and different shapes, I will also go over everything right at the end so that it all looks neat and tidy. I will go over the shapes and patterns with my Supra palette  

This is my hair template, firstly I am going to sleek the hair back and then place the chicken wire in the middle of the hair. I am going to pin the chicken wire into the hair with pins and through each gap of the chicken wire so it's stays down firmly. Then I am going to pull the hair up and clip it back into the chicken wire. I am going to thread the feathers through the chicken wire at the top of the head and at the bottom of the head. With the fish tail plait's I am going to use two different set of hair extensions a blonde pair and a brown pair, I am the going to pull the extensions across the front part of the hair and pin it down so it is securely on the hair. 

This is the model that I will be using for my catwalk shoot, for this shoot I wanted to focus a lot on the hair.
My model has weaves in her hair which makes it slightly difficult to work with her hair, however I decided I was still going to put her hair up and hide the tracks with with hair extensions which I am going to fish tail plait and pin into the chicken wire so it goes across where the tracks are so it covers them.  

This is my catwalk mood-board, it is based on the rodarte catwalk as my main theme is Rodarte. I've looked into the different shapes and patterns that they used for the Rodarte, to give me ideas on what to do. I decided that i was going to use the shapes instead of copying the idea, I would use colour to make it look brighter and it will also make the Rodarte theme look bright as it is quite gothic, dark and dull. I have also used images on my mood-board for inspiration for hair up which I am going to look into, I know that I want to do a really big hair up maybe with the use of feathers or a hair piece.

As I have based my catwalk look on the rodarte theme, I have looked into what they wore on the catwalk. there is a lot of black and red dark colours. This has made me want to use a black top, I think I am going to use a black boob-cube top so that there aren't any sleeves and that the chest shoulders and arms can be seen well, I want to do this because I am going to do the the rodarte on the arms so I want it to be the main focus and really visible and by having nothing on the shoulders and arms will make this quite visible. As I have decided to use feathers on the hair I think I might use a lot of feathers to make a feathered shoulder piece.

My first idea was for my model to wear a t-shirt with a Aztec pattern's all over the t-shirt which I thought would go well with the tribal theme. However I decided that I wanted to experiment with material instead of just buying a t-shirt. I bought fabric from fabric land, and tired different of ways of wrapping it around the body, to see which way it worked best. When doing so I took into consideration that I was going to do scarification at the top of the shoulders so I had to leave enough space so that the scars could be seen and so they didn't get ruined. I also bought a necklace which was made from a material which was similar to the one that I used to wrap around my model, it had bead going through it and hanging off of it. However i felt like the necklace did not go with the material.

Editorial template/mood-board/storyboard....

This image is my storyboard for my editorial shot, the images I have used images that that inspired me to create my look. For example I am going to use scarification in my shoo, so I looked up images that related to scarification. I have also used images which are related to hair for example the shapes that they have used with the cuts of the shaven parts of the hair, this inspired me to use the fullers-earth and create shapes into the head and mixing it with the hair. I have also added images the products that i will be using to create my look, I will be using fuller-earth the forehead and hair. I will also use foundation to give a nice base coat of foundation, the rice will be use for the scarification on the arms and the tuplast will be used to create the scars down the face. In the top left hand corner, I have stuck down images that I would want my model to pose like in my photo shoot, I think this is a good idea because when it comes to my shoot I can just show my model my mood-board then they can pose similarly to the models on my mood-board I also think this will make my model feel more comfortable. 

This is my face template for my editorial look, my theme is scarification and Maori tattoo's.
On the cheeks of the face I am going to use Gylkec wax to create the scars, this is because it will give it a thickish bump on the cheeks which will make it stand out. I can then go over this with my foundation to blend it in with the skin tone. On the top of the head I want to use the Maori tribe as an inspiration and use shapes on the forehead, and use my supra palette to add colour to it. My models hair is quite short so there is not a lot I can do with it,I have decided to put fullers-earth going from the forehead into the hair again in a triangle shape so that it goes with the rest of the shapes on the forehead. 

This is an image of what I will be doing on my models shoulders and what he
will be wearing.  I have linked this shoot to scarification, and as I have done scarification on the face with wax, I decided it would be a good idea to use a different texture on the body, so I am going to use rice to create this pattern. I am going to stick the rice down with Duo glue. I have bought fabric from fabric land to wrap around my model leaving minimal flesh showing. I have also bought a necklace with beads on it and and a big circle at the bottom of it with beads coming off of it, the circle also has smaller circles with in it.

Here is a final template of what my model will be wearing.  Black trousers, and material wrapped around the body. With a tribal themed necklace. I might spray triangle shapes on to the fabric, this will also add colour on to the fabric and it will also add a bit more of a tribal theme to the clothes. I also have a tribal looking necklace  where it is made from fabric and then beads are attached it to it there is also a circular patterned circle with beads also hanging off of that. With the hair I am going to apply fullers-earth from the forehead upwards into the hair and colour it in gold. I am then going to draw triangles on to  the rest of the forehead and colour them in with my supra palette. I am going to use colours like blue, green and red as they are bright and they will stand out. For the rest of the make up I am going to do scarification on the face I am going to use wax to make the skin look bumpy and bold. I will then put the foundation on top of the scars so that it blends in with my models skin tone. I am also going to do scarification down the shoulders, however I am going to use rice and use Duo glue to stick it down with. 

In this image I drew an idea of what my model could have worn. I designed a bright coloured t-shirt, with lots of colour, patterns and shapes to relate it to tribalism. He would wear black trousers so that the colours on the top stand out more. With his hair , because it is quite short I am going to leave his hair how it is and then add fullers-earth going from his forehead into his hair in a triangle shape and then I am going to coat it with gold supra colour. I am also going to add smaller triangles on to the forehead and colour them in my with supra palette as well.  On the cheeks I am going to use wax and build up a thick base to make the skin look really bumpy, I will then coat it over with foundation so it blends in with the skin tone. 

This is another image where I have designed a shirt, it is a blue and again it is covered with  shapes and patterns which resemble tribalism. I have also drawn for my model to wear red chino's, by my model wearing red chino's I think they will stand out and they also fit into the tribal theme. However the red and blue together might look a bit bright so it may not work. With the hair and make- up I am going to use fullers-earth on the forehead going into the hair and then drawing triangles onto the forehead. I am also going to do scars down both sides of the cheeks. 

This is an image of the model that I am going to be using for my editorial shoot. I think that he will be a good model because he has good clear skin which will allow me to do the scars on his face properly with out dents and bumps, he also has his nose pierced and a stretcher in his ear which I think fits in with the tribal theme. My models has short hair so there is not a lot I can do with it however, I will use the fullers-earth that is on his forehead and bring it into the hair. 

This is my editorial mood-board it has references to scarification, the Maori tribe accessorizes and clothes that my model can wear. I think the clothes on my mood-board are tribal themes as they have patterns down them and the colours used relate to tribes. The image with the four men in the catwalk inspired me to use material instead of clothes, as they have used baggie shirts I really like this look. The I also really like the image underneath as they have use accessories like shoulder pads with different shapes and patterns to give it a tribal themed look. 

Rodarte trials...

Here are my trials for my Rodarte catwalk look,  here I have only used the colour black and
I am using my Supra palette to create this look. In this image I have put masking tape around the arm to create a neat line and sharp line. I filled the gaps in knowing that where the masking tape is there were going to be white lines. 

Here is the arm, where I have filled in the  gaps with my black supra colour. 

Here are other shapes and patterns I created going further up the arm. 

This is a side shot of a full length arm of Rodarte down the arm, I have used different shapes
such as triangles, square, curvy line and straight lines.  

It is clear that I have use masking tape on the arm, as the lines are bold, sharp and
straight. 

This is the final look of my arm, after using my black supra colour I have decided that I do not
want to use black to create all these patterns I am going to use bright colours to make them stand out more  and I think that it will fit into the tribal theme more as tribal is very colourful. 

Experimenting with hair for catwalk shot...

A close up of the hair in a ponytail with doughnuts in the chicken wire. There is also hair extensions weaved into the chicken wire. 

I sectioned the hair and put it back into a ponytail, I then put two doughnuts on top of
the ponytail and pulled it through. I would then wrap the back into the chicken wire. 

This is the hair with two doughnuts and with the chicken wire around it. I tied a ponytail up and then put the two doughnuts on top of the ponytail. The rest of the hair can go around the head and into the chicken wire. Like the chicken wire is a template for the hair to go into. I will then accessorises the hair by putting feather's and twigs through the chicken wire.

 I made the chicken wire this shape by putting the roll of chicken wire and wrapping it around a vase to
create this shape. 

Weave the hair extensions in and around the chicken wire. I like the hair weaved through the  chicken wire as it gives off nice patterns and different shapes with in the hair. However the extensions will not be able to be seen if I am going to wrap the hair around

Face charts and body work Catwalk finals....

I experimented with red, yellow. orange, blue and purple. However i felt as if the colours were to dull
I wanted them to stand out more. 

This is the final image and colours I will be using for my catwalk look. I think all the colour's
have worked well as they all stand out a lot as the a bright and bold colours. I am going to use my Mac mix-lip    to create this look. 

Here I experimented with Rodarte with different colours. I used my Mac lip-mix as the colour's
are very bright. I have picked red green and yellow because I think these colours represent
tribalism the most.

I would paint the whole arm red, with my Mac red lip-mix and go over it with
purple to create all the different shapes again I would use masking tape to make the lines strong
and bold. 

Here I would paint all of the arm yellow and go over the shapes in green I would go over
the black bits of the arm as well. Again I would use my Mac lip-mix to create these patterns.

Here I experimented with Rodarte and Maori patterns on the arm. I did one 
are with just the black colour, I would use my black Supra palette to create this look. With the other 
arm I used my Gold Illasmaqua liquid metal as a base coat, I then drew on possible idea's that i could use for     rodarte on the arm, I again would use my black supra colour. If the the black is not sharp enough I would use 
my Mac black lip-mix. 

I drew this face template, with the Maori tribe as an inspiration. I would start off by applying my Illamasqua liquid foundation as a base on the skin. I then would draw the lines on the head with my Supra palette. For  the eyebrow's I am going to block them out and redraw them on to make them look as if they are fluffy.
With the lips I was going to do a really bold thick lip liner and then do a a lighter shade of pink on the lips. Around the edges of the face I would draw on patterns with my Supra palette. 
With the hair I wanted to sleek all the hair back into a ponytail and then add a bigger polystyrene ball at
the bottom of the hair near the hair band. I would then wrap some red crepe hair around the hair band to cover it up. Then add a smaller ball on top and then use green crepe hair and create a loop.

This is a mid length image idea of what i could do for my catwalk look.  For the hair I want to sleek the hair
back and stick it into a bun.  Then i wanted to use either a ponytail or an extension and wrap different colours of crepe hair into it. to make it stand out and look more tribal. I wanted to do a plan make up look as the arms will look quite busy. With the make up I would use my illmasaqua liquid foundation, and pink blusher on the cheeks. I want to block out the eyebrows and re-draw them making them look fluffy/ thick and hairy. With the eyes I would use a plain blue eyeshadow. Again with the lips I would use a darker lip liner and then a light lipstick. I wanted to buy feathered earring's to go with the tribal theme. With the arm's I would use masking tape, to make sure that I have a neat and sharp line. I would use my suprea palette to create these lines on the arms. 

Here is an image could be my finally look. I want my model to have the rodarte down her arms, and have a feathered sleeve on her shoulder's. I want her to wear a black boob-tube top so that the arms are the main focus. The skirt is made from feathers which also add to the tribal theme. With the hair I want to do what i did with the first image where I used the two polystyrene balls and then used crepe hair to wrap it around the hairbands.I did a hair trial of this and I found it very hard to keep the polystyrene balls to stay up. I found a solution of sticking a knitting needle to keep the polystyrene balls up right. With the make-up I wanted to keep it plan and simple so I am going to use my Illamasqua liquid foundation and pink blusher on the cheeks and use a really bold lipstick to make the lips stand out. Also to add a bit of colour I thought I would use some red earrings in the shape of square's.

With this image I wanted to experiment with a bit of colour  with the Rodarte. So I decided to use  my black
suprea palette and my Gold Illamasqua liquid metal. I thought this might stand out a bit more. Again I would use masking tape to make the lines sharp. I would use a feather sleeve to put around the shoulder's. Again with the make up I want to keep it simply so I've decided I want to use my Illamasqua liquid  foundation  and pink illamasqua blusher. for the eyes I want to use my White prescion Illamasqua eyeliner. And have a really dark and bold lipstick.
